...school support
This support can be provided in the following ways:
For young people whose disruptive behaviour means that they are at risk of permanent exclusion, we offer a residential support package, whereby groups of 4 to 6 young people take part in a 5 to 10 day residential experience, which looks at addressing all aspects of behaviour that affects learning and creates barriers.
Then the young person is provided with an individual six week support package, that assists in addressing any issue which has been identified as needing to be worked with. This is achieved by each young person having an individual mentor, who is able to assist that young person to put into action all that has been learnt on the residential.
As well as the week support package, an evaluation week, is then carried out whereby young people and education staff, with C:HAT, look at how effective the programme has been.
